Artifex Solutions Makes a Strong Impression at OMTEC 2026

June 2026 | Rosemont, Illinois

The Artifex Solutions team returned from OMTEC 2026 with more than just business cards — we came back with renewed energy, meaningful conversations, and a clear signal from the orthopedic manufacturing community: the industry is paying attention.

Held June 9–11 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Chicago, OMTEC 2026 marked the event’s 20th anniversary and once again brought together over 1,300 professionals across the orthopedic device ecosystem — product development engineers, procurement leaders, R&D teams, supply chain managers, and executive decision-makers from OEMs spanning the full commercialization spectrum. For Artifex Solutions, LLC, it was a defining moment.

A Booth That Drew the Right Conversations

Traffic at our exhibit was consistent throughout all three days, and the quality of engagement stood out. Professionals from established OEMs and emerging medical device companies stopped by to learn more about our contract manufacturing capabilities, and many of those conversations quickly moved past introductions into real, substantive discussions about production challenges, timelines, and sourcing strategies.

What resonated most with visitors was not a rehearsed pitch — it was the depth of capability they found under one roof. Attendees were genuinely impressed to discover that Artifex Solutions brings together engineering, quality, and procurement functions as an integrated team. That combination — rarely found in contract manufacturing partners of our size — gave visitors confidence that we could speak to their specific device needs from multiple angles simultaneously, rather than routing them through disconnected departments after the fact.

Regulatory Compliance That Speaks for Itself

One of the strongest moments of credibility at the show came from a straightforward conversation: our facilities have undergone recent audits by both the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and BSI, the latter in connection with our ISO 13485:2016 certification process. In a highly regulated industry where quality system compliance is non-negotiable, that transparency mattered. Visitors consistently noted that knowing our facility had already been through rigorous external scrutiny — not just internal readiness assessments — gave them a meaningful level of assurance when considering Artifex as a manufacturing partner.

ISO 13485:2016 remains the gold standard for quality management systems in medical device manufacturing, and undergoing FDA and BSI audits as part of that process reflects the level of commitment Artifex Solutions brings to every production program.

Engineering Experience and Raw Material Depth

Beyond compliance, two additional capabilities generated consistent interest across the show floor.

First, our engineering team. Contract manufacturing relationships often break down at the point where technical challenges surface — when an OEM’s design intent runs into production realities and there is no one on the supplier side with the experience to bridge that gap. At OMTEC 2026, our engineering team fielded detailed questions about design for manufacturability, tolerance management, and process validation, and they did so with the kind of hands-on knowledge that builds trust quickly. Visitors left those conversations with a clearer picture of what a true manufacturing partnership looks like.

Second, our raw material inventory position. Supply chain volatility in metals — particularly in the orthopedic and surgical instrument space — has been an ongoing concern across the industry. Artifex Solutions maintains a solid inventory of raw materials specifically to buffer against abrupt market shifts, long lead times, and allocation constraints. For OEMs who have experienced production disruptions due to material shortages, this was not a minor detail. Several conversations centered specifically on how our inventory strategy could reduce supply risk in their programs.

Looking Ahead

OMTEC 2026 confirmed what we already believed: OEMs are looking for contract manufacturing partners who can do more than quote a part. They need partners who understand their regulatory environment, can engage at an engineering level, and have the operational infrastructure to deliver consistently — even when the market throws curveballs.

The conversations we had in Chicago were honest, direct, and pointed toward the same conclusion: Artifex Solutions is well-positioned to support both current production programs and long-term development pipelines.

We are grateful to everyone who stopped by our booth, asked the hard questions, and took the time to learn what Artifex Solutions is building. We look forward to continuing those conversations and to earning your trust through the work itself.
